This image was inspired by the first “Alien” movie, which of the series I think is still my favourite. Also I just finished playing Alien: Isolation, which was amazing, so I decided to do some fan-art of the series. The Ripley model I started a while ago, so I dusted it off and gave it some more love then built a proper scene for it. The background is based loosely on the Nostromo lifeboat, but didn’t end up being very visible in the final image. I also modelled the hyper-sleep chamber but it didn’t work with the composition I had in mind.
There is some post processing in Photoshop, but everything was rendered in Blender/Cycles.
