This 1983 Zastava 750 is a Yugoslav built version of the Fiat 600 and is powered by a 767cc rear-mounted inline-four. Zastava Automobiles was originally a division of the Zastava arms company, and the company began their long-standing partnership with Fiat in late 1954. The Zastava 750 was produced from 1955-1985, and measures 3″ longer than the original Fiat. This example is equipped with a 4-speed manual with an un-syncronized first gear. The seller purchased this example late last year in Yugoslavia from a former Zastava employee, who performed the restoration. Now located in Wisconsin, this Zastava carries a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

The previous owner had the car fully repainted during their restoration. Per the original registration document, orange is the correct original color, though it is unknown if the present shade is identical to the original “Narandzasta 71.” Most of the metal trim is painted silver, though some polished brightwork is present on the mirrors, door handles and rain gutters. The headlights are NOS Saturnus items.

The glass is said to be original throughout the car, and carries matching stampings.

The interior is unmodified, and the seller reports that the headliner is original. The seats and door panels are upholstered in period-correct vinyl, though the seller does not know if the upholstery is original to the car. 72k kilometers (~45k miles) are shown, though the speedometer and odometer are not working, and the true mileage is unknown. The seller states that the restorer in Yugoslavia did not register the car and reportedly drove it very little, and the seller estimates that they have driven it about 750 miles since bringing the car to the United States.

Power comes from a 767cc inline four mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with an un-synchronized first gear. The seller reports that the engine and transmission are original to the car, and during their ownership the car has been serviced with an oil and filter change.
