“I’ve been trying to get it produced and some writers have expressed interest. It is a fascinating story and I’m
sussing my way through it all,” Anderson said.

And she has a dream leading man in mind: “I would love to see Gary Oldman play David. That’s my wish list. He did Sid and Nancy and I didn’t even know it was him. He can do everything and he kind of reminds me of David in the way that he’s such an actor’s actor.

“He would do an amazing job of portraying David. He might not be as tall as David but David was pretty thin when he got off the booze, so physically he could pull it off.”
