1. FAMILY Owned & Operated! 2. After 3 visits, Lina, John & family made our visits memorable with authentic, fresh and flavorful lunch & dinner meals. 3. My favorite is the Pollo Asada which is grilled chicken with hint of mustard, grilled onions and fresh tomatoes. The side dishes are tasty, but the green and red salsa's served with the chips? DELICIOUS! The main entrees are served Hot, generous portions and reasonable priced for central Mexican recipes with fresh produce and ingredients. I have mild taste buds and I was NOT overwhelmed by super hot/spicy food! You can always add heat but never take it away!

I recently visited La casa de Don Miguel in cedar city. While my experience there was just average, I must acknowledge the positives that made my visit enjoyable.
First and foremost, the restaurant's atmosphere was warm and inviting. The vibrant colors and traditional Mexican decor created a lively and festive ambiance that immediately set the mood for a Mexican dining experience.
Moving on to the menu, I found a decent variety of Mexican dishes to choose from. The menu featured classic favorites such as tacos, enchiladas, and burritos. The presentation of the dishes was appealing.
Regarding the food itself, it was very bland. The salsa was very watery and again very bland. My enchilada was average. The lettuce and tomatoes on top were fresh though!
The service at was prompt and efficient. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and able to answer our questions. But because the food was unappetizing, I don't think I'll be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather A.Boise City, ID01922Apr 8, 2024
Excellent food. Clearly every last bit was home made right down to the tortilla chips. Service was impeccable even though I showed up 2 minutes after opening on a Monday. Very clean little hole in the wall. Absolutely recommend and will be back!!!!! Thank you!!!

Due to car issues, we were delayed in Cedar City, March. 2024. What a delight it was to eat at La Casa Don Miguel. We thought the food was superb. My husband ordered a steak entree and I had chicken delicately rolled with cheese, wrapped in tortillas and deep fried. Service was great. We had the opportunity to talk with the owner's son, and he recommend items for us. This is a quaint family friendly restaurant made special by the food and the staff. Recommend!

This place is a fantastic Mexican restaurant.
We had the Chili Relleno, Cheese Enchiladas, Super Nachos, and the Chicken Chalupa.
The waitress was so lovely. You could tell she loves her job. And that's so refreshing. She loves talking to the customers.
She was really sweet.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Diane H.Layton, UT1138May 22, 2023
Food was served hot and generously proportioned. The salsas were tasty but mild. They automatically bring mild red and green salsas with the house cooked chips. You can ask for their spicy salsa which is also good. The chili Colorado and chili verde were amazing and the chili Relleno was very good. Our server, Maria, was friendly and personable.
Next time we're in the area, we'll stop in again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - B B.Poway, CA01Jan 4, 2024
Amazing mexican food. John and his father have food that makes a San Diego/Arizona native proud. Get the beans. Can't wait to come back in a couple months and eat great, Authentic Mexican food in Cedar City!

Wow. What a hidden gem in Cedar City. I don't go to that many Mexican restaurants in the US because I'm generally disappointed, but I happened to stay right next door to this one on a cross country motorcycle ride. Some of the best food, service, and margaritas (yes, in Utah!) in recent memory; all in a charming space. Don't miss the chicken mole. Cheers to these folks, keep up the great work!

I give the restaurant 2 stars because it was a sad night at La Casa Don Miguel. There was one staff person working front of house. She was a 5. She did it all, seated us, got the table ready, took our order, made the drinks, delivered our drinks, served our food and took our money. We walked up to go in, where we noticed the OPEN sign was turned off. It was a sign. Next time I see that I will turn around and go somewhere else. The food looked like the pictures, great but it wasn't as good as it looked. My enchiladas were cold. Not cool, but cold. Good flavor just wish it was at least warm. The other three the food was warm but didn't taste good. The steak was bland. The flautas were soggy. The combo plate was just wrong. I can't recommend this place. I doubt we will ever go back. I hope they can turn this place around. I love going to small businesses instead of chains.
