This place is legit. It's attached to a little Mexican grocery & you need to scoot over to that side & try out the pastries, too. Decent price, wonderfully flaky....take home a variety.
The absolutely best thing I've had here is the pastor tacos. (Or the pastor anything.) I haven't had pastor anywhere else in Indy this good.
The steak tacos are fine. The only taco toppings are onion & cilantro, and since I don't like raw onions, the meat has to really be the star.
I tried their tortas & it wasn't to my taste.
The only thing that makes me sad is that they don't have tongue.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 25, 2023
This place is the real deal! Authentic Mexican food at a low price! The menu is small, but the food is delicious! When I was there, the cashier didn't speak English, but understood my order fine. I am learning Spanish, but know very little at this time. I definitely want to go back to eat here again!

Tried the tacos at the taqueria for the first time.eat had good flavor they put a lot of meat so very filling. The salsas were ok the green one was the best and nice spicy there was a an orangy looking one that i dont know what kind of salsa that was and it seem a little oily, im mexican and ive never heard of that type of salsa. They have Aguas frescas like orchata, Jamaica, pepino. On certain days they have champurrado and tamales. While I waited for my food I was able to check out the little market that's attached to it. They have fresh Mexican bread that smled very good. They had all the basic Mexican merchandise. This is very close to my house so its great to go pick up some ingredients when I'm making Mexican food. Over all I was craving tacos and it definitely did the job.

How anyone gives this place less than five stars is beyond me. These are true, Mejican tacos. The adobada (aka al pastor) is legit. Real guacamole. Grilled chicken tacos. Generous cuts of lime. Homemade tamales every week.
If you have friends from Tejas or California, this is where they should go for tacos in Indy.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 7, 2020
I have mixed feelings about this little restaurant inside of a Latino store. They have decent tacos - their barbacoa is delicious. My girlfriend had great tasting cabeza! You can purchase a a great green salsa - guacamole with tomatillos, lime and Serrano peppers; it's not for the weak on spicy ! Their chips and salsa were standard - nothing to rave about. I also enjoyed their tacos asada; juicy and perfectly spiced. Not my favorite taco joint though, but it's okay!

This is a great little grocery store to find basics, but there are less expensive options to find the same things. They have great pan dulce and fantastic little cakes and flan.
The true shine though is the taqueria in the back of the store. I tried the cabeza, barbacoa, asada, and chili relleno tacos. The cabeza and barbacoa were so incredibly flavorful that I'll GLADLY eat these boys time and time again. The asada has so much flavor, and I was pleased, but it was a tad dry for my taste. The chile relleno was not very good, at all.
They had this remarkable salsa verde that was so spicy I almost couldn't handle it (and I can generally handle heat pretty well!). However spicy it was, it was INTOXICATINGLY DELICIOUS. the blend of tomatillos, serranos, avocado, and lime was absolute perfection. I can't wait to go back for the barbacoa, cabeza, and that salsa verde!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sheridan H.Far North Central, San Antonio, TX6974Jan 1, 2022

Really good tacos. Get the green sauce it's really good. Got steak tacos and was really impressed by the quality of the meat. Also they only took about 10 minutes to prepare and make. Also got chips and salsa and those were pretty solid. Can't go wrong either way on this restaurant! Love supporting local business. Good people with pretty good customer service

The tacos are amazing !!! They have happy hour oomph Wednesday. The cashier named Juliana is super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend the carne asada tacos.
