Pushing Daisies just got a new lease on life, and it’s all thanks to The CW.
The beloved but short-lived dramedy can now be watched in its entirety via the network’s digital home, CW Seed. The series is exclusively available on Roku devices right now, but can be accessed on all CW Seed platforms beginning Dec. 1.
Pushing Daisies, which initially ran from 2007 to 2009, stars Lee Pace as a pie-maker who has the ability to bring dead people back to life — as long as he doesn’t touch them post-resurrection.
Ready for more of today’s newsy nuggets? Well…
* Sopranos vet Tony Sirico will guest-star in a January episode of The Grinder. According to EW.com, he will appear on the Fox comedy’s show-within-the-show as Sebastian Cole, an intimidating client of Dean Sanderson’s Mitch Grinder.
* Denzel Washington will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 73rd Annual Golden Globes, airing Sunday, Jan. 10, at 8/7c on NBC.
* Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) will appear as themselves in The Muppets‘ Dec. 1 episode, Variety reports.
* Adult Swim has ordered to series Dream Corp, LLC., an animated workplace comedy exec-produced by John Krasinski (The Office) and Stephen Merchant (Hello Ladies). The project is set in a neglected dream therapy facility where an absent-minded professor, Dr. Roberts (voiced by Lost alum Jon Gries), records and analyzes the dreams of his desperate patients.
Tease…
Ah! I thought Pushing Daisies was getting a revival a la the Gilmore Girls, and I got excited there for a moment…
I did too. But I am glad that someone will have it for streaming.
Lee Pace is busy with AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire right now.
And Swoosie Kurtz is on Mike & Molly.
For a moment…then a tear…but hope springs eternal, right?
What a cruel and misleading headline!
agreed!!
Yup, totally fell for it. :(
Ditto.
I was hoping for a continuation of some kind. Even if it’s just comics. I need more.
WE NEED A REVIVAL!!!!!
Yes we do.
YES! Thank you – just added this Roku Channel – for Pushing Daisies & also all the Whose Line episodes (US) both new & Drew Carey version
Love pushing daisies!! Wish it had more episodes but glad I can watch it again!!
Paulie Walnuts has always been a fan favorite on The Sopranos since the beginning.
If this hadn’t been a TVLine Items article, it would’ve been misleading. But they would never put news as big as a Pushing Daisies revival in an assorted news article!
Seriously with that headline??? Jerks
Ah. man, I was totally thinking it was renewed. *sigh*
this was cruel, i thought a revival was coming
Mean. I got excited that it was coming back.
I’d like to see the episode where Chi McBride gets stuck in a basement window and Anna Friel makes her “Poo Bear” comment…
Awww. I thought they meant we’d be getting more episodes. I almost threw up with nervous excitement! And then I clicked the article and saw the truth.
