'I'm not at my fighting weight': Supermodel David Gandy, 42, says he's not 'particularly happy with the way he's looking' and admits fear over 'ears and nose growing' with age

Supermodel David Gandy has admitted he's not particularly happy with the way he's looks - despite carving out a reputation as Britain's most handsome man.

The fashion icon, 42,  who set pulses racing when he starred in a Dolce & Gabbana advert wearing nothing but tight white pants in 2007, told Richard Eden's Eden Confidential: 'I'm not particularly happy with the way I'm looking at the moment. I'm not at my fighting weight, as I call it. 

David also admitted to fearing changes to his chiselled good looks as he ages, saying: 'The two things that scare me is that apparently your ears and nose carry on growing.

'If that's true, I am in massive amounts of trouble.' 

The star is father to daughters Matilda, three, and Tabitha, four months with barrister girlfriend Stephanie Mendoros   

David, who is Britain's highest-paid male model, has been dating barrister Stephanie for five years yet remains coy over his private life.   

The model, reported to be worth £12 million, has previously said he dreams of having a big family one day.

He said: 'My sister has five children. So I have five nephews and nieces. We have great fun together bouncing around on the trampoline when I go to visit them. Dora too. They all want to play. I've seen them growing up. It's a great family.'

Asked whether he would look to beat his sister's achievement, he said: 'I'm definitely not going to try and beat that record. Stephanie can have five. I'll have five cars.' 

David's most high-profile romance has been with former The Saturdays singer turned radio presenter, Mollie King, 31. The couple dated for 10 months back in 2011, before reconciling once again in 2015.

David and Mollie parted ways in early 2016, shortly before the model started his relationship with talented criminal lawyer Stephanie.  

The hunk also dated model and nutritionist Sarah Ann Macklin, 29, for a year from 2012 to 2013. 

David shot to fame back in 2001 when his then-housemate entered him into a modelling competition on ITV's This Morning without his knowledge. He subsequently won the competition and was awarded a contract with Select Models.

He has appeared in numerous high-profile campaigns for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana Hugo Boss and Carolina Herrera, as well as being a face of high street brand Marks and Spencer.
