Vinnie Jones might be a Hollywood hard nut, but he swapped playing the villain for being the hero as he helped rescue a friend's Lamborghini from a muddy field - and then tried to charge him a £50 fine.

Jones, 57, first earned a reputation as a no-nonsense bruiser during his days as a footballer with the likes of Leeds, Chelsea and Wimbledon - famously helping the 'Crazy Gang' beat Liverpool in the 1989 FA Cup final.

He has continued that theme in Hollywood, starring in thrillers such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and X-Men.

Jones couldn't have been further away from the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown on Sunday as he posted a video of a friend's Lamborghini marooned in a muddy, and presumably English, field.

A video uploaded to Twitter by Jones showed an expensive Lambo stuck in its trucks in the middle of a churned up meadow.

As the clip begins, Jones says: "Here we have a Lamborghini, stuck in the field, being pulled out by a Land Rover, as normal.

"He said it's got off-road on it. I said a tractor wouldn't get through there.

"We're just hoping the rope doesn't snap now."

As Jones' Land Rover begins pulling the Lamborghini from the quagmire, Jones shouts: "GO ON".

"Go on, the Land Rover's done it. Go on the Landy."

With the supercar clear of the mud and back on solid ground, Jones continued: "Lamborghini up your arse.

"Look at that, the old Lamborghini, the old Lamborghini, the old Land Rover, fantastic."

The Hollywood star then turns his attention to the car's driver and jokes about a potential fine for his services.

"And there's the b***end. Look at that," Jones says, turning the camera on the perpetrator.
