After getting a few teases and tracks in the last few months, you can now listen to the debut album from Julian Casablancas + the Voidz in full. From what we’ve heard so far, the album is heavy, gritty, and a little weird.
But if you’re turned off by the music, you can always find comfort in Casablancas’ distinct reverb-heavy vocals.
Julian Casablancas + the Voidz’ “Tyranny” is streaming in full ahead of its Sept. 23 release at Rolling Stone.
In early June, we got our first taste of Casablancas and his new band at Governors Ball and weren’t immediately impressed.
“The band’s new material was a puzzling match of Casablancas’ garage door-muddled vocals with thrash, punk and some Strokes-inspired guitar work,” we wrote.
