As the daughter of rockstar legend Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger sort of hit the gene-pool jackpot. Modeling for everything from Versace to Material Girl to Hudson, the rockstar scion's got some seriously sought-after style and beauty chops, so when she stopped by our office this week, we couldn't resist the opportunity to chat her up. Read on to get the scoop on her 94 Shades of Summer campaign with Sunglass Hut (and fellow rock 'n' roll offspring Alexandra and Theodora Richards), her go-to music festival uniform, and being so into her favorite TV show that she wears its wardrobe.
After all of your Sunglass Hut campaigns, we're assuming you're a big shades person?
"Sunglasses have become like shoes or purses to me—I change them all the time depending on my outfit. That's the whole idea behind the campaign. There are 94 different sunglasses, so there's a lot to choose from!"
Do you have any go-to pairs or styles?
"I really like the classic mirrored pairs, but the ones with the gems and patterns are so much fun. Even if you're wearing all black, you can just put on a cool pair of sunglasses, and you look like you tried. As far as shapes, I usually go for the rounder styles, and I love the pairs that fold up...especially now that I've been traveling so much. They're so easy to pack!"
Where have you been traveling? Have you been to any music festivals?
"I just came back from Glastonbury, but I don't dress as cool as everyone else since it's so rainy. I'm more practical, so I just wear fun things like sparkly tops and track suit bottoms and then throw a parka on top—I just like to stay dry and warm! You can really wear whatever you want there, so it's fun to just mix and match all of your clothes."
Any fall trends you're excited about?
"I always get to a point in summer when I know I don't really want winter to come, but I want to be able to wear fall clothes...like all the cool jackets. I have this blue leather jacket, but it's too hot for me to wear, and I'm really annoyed by it. I like big coats...I have this Isabel Marant one that's big, tweed, and oversized, but I can't wear that either. I actually got really obsessed with wearing white coats like Olivia Pope."
Are you a big Scandal fan?
"I am! Some people noticed and some people didn't. I would just show up wearing a white coat, a white handbag, and all these white clothes. I almost bought the white Prada handbag just so I could be even more like her, but it was sold out. I guess everyone else had the same idea!"
